Traditional at Its Finest

"Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.” -Lao Tzu

A Kaftan dress + Gele = So beautiful!

J'adore...

“A woman’s heart should be so hidden in Christ, that a man should have to seek Him first to find her.” - Maya Angelou

Happy Monday! I want to say special "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" to my eldest sister. She is the best big sister a girl could ask for  She's always there to care for and love me. Here's to many more years, girl. Love you to itty bits.

I wore my new favorite dress to a wedding this past weekend. I honestly love it so much (my seamstress did a phenomenal job!).

The is French lace I received from my mommy.  Well...I received it after begging for like a week. Figured I would use it before she would. She caved and gave it to me. The benefits of being the last born. (=

Blowing a fish faced kiss to all my readers. Hope you catch it (-;

So this is how I originally envisioned the dress with the cut out.  But when I added the extra material, it definitely made the dress look classier.

This is one BIG bun!

Have a blessed week, everyone. xx

It's In the Details

"A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous." -Coco Chanel

These fabrics made these simple styles so pretty.
The little beads on the cream dress made it look so rich in texture. The simplicity of the style easily keeps your attention on the fabric.
Cream ankara with blue and gold pattern, studded with silver beads (throughout
the entire dress)
You can't really see it in the pictures, but the sheer gold overlay was throughout the entire dress.
(Please do not mind Chi....she says that she is shy, but as you can tell from her second picture...she really is not. =)
Burgundy lace with gold and silver leaf pattern
Have a safe and fun weekend, everyone.
xx
